Megwa emphasized that the public, particularly Corps Members, aspiring Corps Members, and their parents, should disregard the information circulating, attributing it to skit creators and content producers. He underscored that this act ventures into the realm of criminal activity.
The official statement communicated: "The NYSC Administration has noted the circulation of a video across social media platforms, alleging that Corps Members are to be deployed to Niger Republic by the Federal Government with the aim of participating in a campaign to restore democracy in the country."
"The Administration wishes to make it unequivocally clear that there is absolutely no validity to the narrative being propagated by the source, a creator of skits and content, who seemingly intends to drive traffic to their platform."
"Members of the public, most notably Corps Members, potential Corps Members, and their guardians, are urged to dismiss this narrative in its entirety due to its association with unlawful activities."
"In light of the current situation, individuals producing content and skits are strongly advised to abstain from spreading false information that holds the potential to undermine the nation's tranquility."
