Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa 2023/2024 Admission Screening: What You Need to Know
Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, is excited to announce its Post-UTME screening process for the 2023/2024 academic session. This invitation extends to all First Choice candidates aspiring to join our academic community, including Direct Entry candidates who have selected SLU as their First Choice Institution.
Here are the essential details for the Post-UTME Screening:
For UTME Candidates:
To be eligible for the screening, UTME candidates must have successfully passed a minimum of five relevant subjects at the credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or an equivalent qualification, all achieved in no more than two sittings. This includes a requirement for credits in English Language and Mathematics.
For Direct Entry Candidates:
Direct Entry candidates aiming to participate in the screening must possess a minimum of a Lower Credit in the National Diploma, a Merit in NCE, and have secured 6 points in the IJMBE Advanced Level.
Additional Opportunity:
If you are a UTME candidate who didn't initially select Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa as your First Choice Institution but wish to study here, you have the opportunity to do so. Simply ensure that you scored 140 or higher in the 2023 UTME, and then make the necessary change via the JAMB website (www.slu.edu.ng). How to Apply for SLU Post UTME Screening
Online registration for the Screening Exercise for both the UTME and DE candidates will commence on Monday, 11th September, 2023 and end at midnight of Sunday, 24th September, 2023.
To register for the exercise, follow the procedures below:
Visit the Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa website at www.slu.edu.ng and navigate to admissions and select online application or visit admissions.slu.edu.ng select UTME or Direct Entry (DE)
Log in using your UTME number and UTME score (UTME applicants) or DE number, state of origin and gender (DE applicants) and upload your passport-sized photograph.

Ensuring that your profile is updated with accurate information is crucial for your Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, 2023/2024 admission registration. Follow these steps to complete the process seamlessly:
Step 1: Update Your Profile
Make sure your profile contains the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Step 2: Update 'O' Level Examinations
For UTME Candidates, update your 'O' Level Examinations, keeping in mind a maximum of two sittings.
Step 3: Upload SSCE Statement of Result
After saving your 'O' Level information, upload a clean, clear scanned copy of your SSCE statement of results (for UTME Candidates).
Step 4: Additional Step for DE Candidates
DE candidates should proceed to upload their SSCE and 'A' Level Result.
Step 5: Payment for Post-UTME/DE Screening
Navigate to "POST-UTME payment" and select either "Pay Now" to make a direct payment with your card or "Download Payment Schedule" to generate, download, and print a payment schedule. The screening fee is Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) only (exclusive of REMITA charges), which you can pay via any Commercial Bank, Debit Card, or Remita Website.
Step 6: Generate Acknowledgement Slip
After successful payment, generate, download, and print the "Acknowledgement Slip" to complete your registration.
Step 7: Document Submission for Successful Admitted Candidates
When admitted, you must present the originals and photocopies of the following documents during registration:
- Acknowledgement Slip
- Evidence of Payment
- UTME Result/DE Registration Slip
- SSCE Statement(s) of Result
- Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background
- Certificate of Indigeneship
- Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
- 'A' Level Statement of Result (for DE candidates only)
Important Note:
If you wish to change your choice of Institution or program using the JAMB Green Card, ensure you do so within the stipulated period of the two-week online registration, which is from Monday, 11th September, 2023, through midnight of Sunday, 24th September, 2023.
Please be aware that failing to register for the online screening exercise on the scheduled dates will result in your ineligibility for admission into the University during the 2023/2024 Academic Session.
