JAMB Subject Combination for Law 2023/2024
JAMB subject combination for Law is English Language, Literature In English, Christian Religious Knowledge and Government.
A. LL.B (Hons) Common Law
1. U. M. E. Entry Requirement
i) Applicants should have a minimum of five O’ Level credits in GCE/SSCE/NECO or their equivalent in Arts/Social Sciences/Commercial Subjects, including English Language, Literature in English, and Mathematics. A pass in Mathematics may be considered.
ii) Candidates should select any three Arts or Social Sciences subjects, including Literature in English.

Direct Entry subjects you need to study Law include:

Government or Economics Accepted!
With JAMB Use of English, Literature In English, Christian Religious Knowledge and Government you can study Law in UNILAG, UNIBEN, UNIUYO, UNILORIN, ABU, LASU, UNICAL, OAU, UNIZIK, UNIPORT and UI among others.
2. Direct Entry Requirements
i) Candidates must possess a minimum of two ‘A’ level Passes in GCE/IJMB or their equivalent in Arts or Social Science subjects.
ii) Alternatively, candidates can have a Diploma in Law (Upper Credit) from recognized institutions, a first degree from a recognized university, or other qualifications such as H.N.D., A.C.I.S., A.C.A., A.C.C., A.I.B., or LL.B. (Inter) of University of London.
iii) For Direct entry admissions, candidates with the mentioned qualifications must also meet the U. M. E. entry requirements of a minimum of five ‘O’ Level credit Passes, including English Language, Literature in English, and Mathematics. A pass in Mathematics may be considered.
iv) Degree holders are exempt from the requirement of possessing Literature in English and Mathematics.
B. LL.B (Hons) Common and Islamic Law
1. U. M. E. Entry Requirements
i) Applicants should have a minimum of five O’ Level credits in GCE/SSCE/NECO or their equivalent in Arts/Social Sciences/Commercial Subjects, including English Language, Literature in English, Mathematics, Arabic or Islamic Studies. A pass in Mathematics may be considered.
ii) Candidates should select any three Arts or Social Sciences subjects, which must include Arabic or Islamic Studies.
2. Direct Entry Requirements
i) Candidates must possess a minimum of two ‘A’ level Passes in GCE/SSCE/NECO/equivalent in Arts or Social Science subjects, with one of them including Arabic or Islamic Studies.
ii) Alternatively, candidates can have a Diploma in Law (Upper Credit) from recognized institutions, a first degree from a recognized university, or other qualifications such as H.N.D., A.C.I.S., A.C.A., A.C.C., A.I.B., or LL.B. (Inter) of University of London.

Note: A Distinction, Credit, Merit, or Pass grading for a diploma is accepted for direct admission.
